PP Zhejiang Petrochemical EP548R Resin

PP Zhejiang Petrochemical EP548R Resin

Material Introduction: PP Zhejiang Petrochemical EP548R is high‑transparency low‑temperature heat‑sealing ter‑polymer polypropylene (PP‑RCT). It is specially developed for high‑end food and pharmaceutical packaging, featuring light transmittance ≥92% (haze ≤2%) and ultra‑low sealing initiation temperature of 110℃. Compliant with FDA and GB food‑contact certification, it is a cost‑effective domestic alternative for imported transparent film materials.

Main Applications

Automotive accessories: interior panels, mudguards, battery housings.

Home‑appliance accessories: small home‑appliance housings, internal structural parts.

Consumer goods: various containers, furniture, toys, sporting goods.

Thin‑wall products: suitable for thin‑wall packaging and containers by virtue of high‑flow property.

Injection‑Molding Process Parameters

Process Item Suggested Range / Description Remarks
Drying treatment Generally unnecessary; dry at 80℃ for 1‑2 h if damp under poor storage condition PP low‑moisture‑absorption feature.
Barrel rear zone(feed section) 160‑200℃ Prevent thermal degradation.
Barrel middle zone(compression section) 180‑220℃
Barrel front zone(metering section) 200‑240℃
Nozzle temperature 200‑240℃
Mold temperature 40‑80℃,recommended 50℃ Crystallization mainly determined by mold temperature. Low temperature: poor surface, weld‑line and flow‑mark risks; high temperature brings warpage risk.
Injection pressure 80‑140 MPa(800‑1400 bar) Higher pressure available for thin‑wall or complex‑structure parts.
Holding pressure 30%‑60% of injection pressure Prevent sink mark; holding time accounts for approx. 30% of cycle time.
Injection speed Medium‑high injection speed High flowability supports fast filling.
Screw speed Medium screw speed Avoid excessive shear heat leading to material degradation.
